Middle School Ethnographic Theatre Project

When my middle school students asked to put on a show, I wanted to find a meaningful project that didn’t require scripts or royalties. Inspired by my MFA coursework, I introduced them to ethnographic theatre—a form of storytelling built from real interviews. This post explores how we’re capturing our school’s shared experiences through a student-devised performance.
